I have been very lucky throughout my career to meet and work with a number of amazing people. This guy is Dr Ravi Margasahayam from NASA and he really is a rocket scientist and has been responsible for sending over 500 astronauts into Space and to the International Space Station. Ravi and I have often presented on the same circuit and have become good friends.
With a little help from my friends Iain Miskimmin, the COMIT team and Oxford Brookes University, Ravi has agreed to help inspire the next generation of engineers with an afternoon presentation and Q&A session at Oxford Brookes University on Monday 18th September.
Ravi will be talking about his experiences and some of the engineering challenges that he has faced. This will be a fascinating and humorous look at the Space race with snippets about NASA's journey to Mars programme.
Glyn Mathews is a long-term member of COMIT and a regular contributor to COMIT events. We are very happy to be able to assist in facilitating this talk by Ravi with the help of Codegate and Oxford Brookes University.
The presentation will take place at the Headington Campus from 2 - 4 pm and includes a break with refreshments. The event is FREE but places are strictly limited. For details of the location and how to book please see the events section on our website.
