Reaching Net Zero in construction is the defining challenge for our generation, with the UK government 2035 targets...
Project Overview
This decarbonisation project in COMIT is one that seeks to reduce the carbon footprint of the construction industry. This could involve the use of renewable energy sources, such the use of Hydrogen fuel cells/electric plant and equipment or the use of as solar and wind power, as well as the use of more efficient building materials and construction methods. It can also include the use of labour-saving techniques such as productivity improving software systems and provides to foreshorten project timelines thereby reducing carbon generation. The goal of such a project is to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere from construction activities, thus helping to reduce the effects of climate change.
